More about Street Football at Schools
The school has always been a reflection of what happens in our society, so along history its social function was changing according to the cultural, political and economic contexts. Today school is a space with a complex framework of roles, functions and problems. This project uses football as a tool call with big impact in Argentina reality.
One throws a ball and the game itself is assembled at any place and any time. Moreover and most importantly in this project, is that the methodology breaks the traditional school structure and proposes an activity that: - Raises a horizontal relationship between teachers - Students - Proposes a participatory democratic debate of students and teachers - Provides teachers of conflict resolution tools - Allows a more democratic operation of knowledge; admits the possibility of multiple speech sources rather than relying on a single source.
Everyone's opinion counts. - Reduces some differences between children who show up at a traditional classroom. We focus on this because it’s a reality in Argentina and we believe that we have the responsibility as citizens to change this model of education proposing the street football methodology as a tool to a better education through sport.
