More about Mental Health Task Force
A gym can be a substitute for a home. The coach, sometimes the only real parent a child has. Many of our athletes came from disadvantaged backgrounds. The were damaged and an isolated. They found hope and community in their sport. We have used our global platform to reach out to children. The Mental Health Task Force is one of our projects. We believe that our athletes and officials have the ability to influence children in a positive manner. We are not looking to create great boxers. We want to give children the tools to become great people. We all have a champions spirit somewhere inside of us. With the Task Force, we support free counseling in schools for all children. We go into youth centers, hospitals, orphanages, schools and bring an inspiring message. "If we can do it, given where we came from, you can do it." We share real experiences and solutions. We focus on discipline, respect and personal accomplishment. "Never give up! We've all been knocked down, but we never surrender." Who better than a boxer, to express this? We believe in our motto: Big Champions Supporting Little Champions!"
