More about Coach for College
The overall goal of the project is to improve the psychological well-being, job skills, and educational attainment of low-income, rural adolescents in developing countries using the excitement and life skills provided by participation in sports-related summer camps.
The ultimate goal of the program is to enable youth from rural partner communities who participate in the program throughout their middle school years (6th-9th grade) to continue their education through high school and university and eventually obtain jobs that provide higher wages and more psychological fulfillment than those of their parents. With the knowledge, skills, and values the program cultivates, we hope that youth will one day become successful leaders who work to expand educational opportunity and alleviate poverty within their communities, including as CFC summer program coaches or staff.
