The Austrian NGO “Hope for Future” is working in the Slum of Korogocho, Nairobi, Kenya since 2011. After building three schools (two primary schools, one secondary school) HFF founded ACAKORO Football (short for: Academy of Korogocho Football).
Austrian experts are permanently staying in Korogocho and have founded the first professional football academy in a Kenyan Slum to nurture the children’s talent and give them a real chance in both parts of life: sports and academics through quality education and quality training.
After a one month selection process for all children of Korogocho and surrounding (over 6000 candidates between 7 and 13 years showed up), Austrian and Kenyan Coaches picked the 60 most talented boys and girls plus 20 talented children who were living under very bad social circumstances (orphans, street-children, etc.).
