The social issue is school drop out!How we tackle this issue is using football to engage youth in positive activities and giving them and identity and belonging! Once engaged in OSCAR they must follow certain standard i.e go to school,discipline, no gambling, no addiction etc!
OSCAR then support players who might be on the verge of dropping out of school by offering extra tuition classes like basic English, Hindi and Maths! and computer education.Why we focus on this issue because of High school drop out for Mumbai slum children, 40% children school drop out before secondary school! Once children school drop out then children family member put pressures on them to work, children starts working in early age and they get salary that salary children use for gambling, drinking and smoking.
