More about Who's got game?
We aim to inspire young people and socially excluded individuals to reach their potential by sharing our experience of the world of work to raise aspirations and develop skills. A poorly performing and divided society has a significant negative impact on our people, our clients and our communities. The strong social issues we are combatting with this project are youth unemployment and inclusiveness.
We have a responsibility to work towards a society in which everyone is able to unlock their potential, and to use our skills and experience to support the next generation of people who want to join the UK workforce. Increasing the career awareness, motivations and employability skills of young people and promoting the firms school and college leaver opportunities in communities and in secondary schools is our focus.
Through our partnership with the sports NGO Who’s Got Game and the Mayor of London we have teamed up to launch the ‘Battle of The Boroughs’ a using the game of basketball to meet the objectives raised above. The project consists of four inclusive open basketball tournaments, in four destitute disadvantaged communities, a national final bringing four winning borough teams together, a KPMG career seminar and Houses of parliament tour and Questions and Answers session with a member from the house of Lords.
