In South Africa, the legacy of “apartheid” lingers on. It particularly expresses itself in the disparity evident in the delivery of education to the majority of children, particularly those who remain trapped in social compromise.
A significant gap exists between those who have access to quality educational resources and those who do not. This gap continues to widen (even after 20 years of Democracy) and closing the gap seems out of reach unless there is a massive focus on the delivery of quality education for all, immediately.
To this end we deliberately partner schools of advantage, with schools located in compromised conditions whose learners are significantly less advantaged. Through this a powerful “community justice” partnership (which has the potential to “level the playing fields” between children in advantaged and disadvantaged schools) we are making a difference.
We have developed Partnership MOU’s with role players and stakeholders (Private Schools, Department of Education (District Offices and Regional Offices, Department of Sport and Recreation (Local and Regional), Metropolitan City Councils, Universities and Business) so that Move-It, Moving Matters® reach recip
