More about KFC Mini-Cricket
KFC Mini-Cricket is a broad-based cricket development programme that creates an opportunity for pre-scholars as well as differently-abled kids to play the game of cricket.
KFC Mini-Cricket uses cricket to encourage boys and girls between the ages of 3 and 13 years old to get active through cricket with the ultimate aim of promoting active lifestyles that will minimise health issues such as obesity in youth and in their future lives as adults.
The programme is also a springboard for aspiring coaches to enter the field of coaching. This plays a dual role of allowing them the opportunity to coach the kids life skills as well as the game of cricket. At the KFC Mini-Cricket level aspiring cricket coaches are trained with the objective of earning their first cricket coaching qualification which is a Level ‘O’ coaching certificate.
KFC Mini-Cricket is the biggest grass roots development programme in South Africa.
