More about Diaspora for Social Cohesion
Since the 2008 xenophobic attacks that erupted in South Africa which claimed over 60 lives, since migrants live under great fear and insecurity due to xenophobic threats around South Africa. This project constitutes a plat-form where the youth is though about human rights and values in order to change the stereotype and stigma that triggers xenophobia attitudes. The project then uses soccer to mediate and reconcile migrants and South Africans to maintain a peaceful environment.
