More about Cricket Association of the Blind, Nepal

During the past decade long insurgency in Nepal, it has been estimated to have more than five thousands of people receiving disabilities. It has also been counted to have more than one thousands of people with blindness. After becoming blind, the people from security forces became responsibility less while the life of blinded civilians went worst. Because of their unwanted drift from brighter world to the darker, most of them went to depression, frustration and even had worst life in their society.

They were not given that much attention by their families and friends like before. Number of cases  are  there where these blinded persons have attempted to commit suicide. Cases are also there were few of these persons were left away by their wives. Having nothing to do, these blind persons started to involve themselves in alcoholic activities, quarrel with family members and curse their future. Considering this fact CAB, Nepal endeavored to involve these blinded persons in the cricket so as to bring them back to the normal life.

This rehabilitating blinded war victim through cricket has been our focus because giving life to them is also giving life to their family members who have grieve with them and seek potentiality to readjust back to their professions.
