More about Chevrolet FC
Research has shown play is a critical part of developing, healing, rebuilding and empowering healthy lives. With more than more than 1 billion children under the age of 12 living in poverty, the lack of opportunity and access to resources to encourage active play is dire.
Using football (soccer) as the platform, Chevrolet is impacting the most vulnerable members of society, igniting human potential through the power of play.
Chevrolet has implemented partnerships, sponsorships and programs to bring the transformative and healing power of play to youth living in refugee camps, disaster areas, rural villages, conflict zones and other impoverished communities.
Through its football for development platform, Chevrolet has enabled organizations on the ground to sustain and expand their programs using sport and play to teach life skills, provide health education and foster social change.
As of the beginning of June 2014, Chevrolet’s football for development activities have impacted more than 26 million children worldwide in just two years, enabling sustainable play for children who often don’t have the opportunity or resources to play.
