What to expect at the Stay in the Game Forum at Beyond Sport Workhsop Week

With Beyond Sport Worksop Week rapidly approaching, we're giving you an inside look at what you can expect from the second annual Stay in the Game Forum on the first day of exciting discussions throughout the week.

From June 15 -18, we’re taking over the virtual event space like never before; to create a dynamic and interactive space for our community – existing and new – to come together to grow, learn and invent new ways to make a positive impact on an increasingly virtual society.

On the first day of an exciting slate of events, we’re thrilled to be bringing together the Stay in the Game Forum, a convening of sport, healthcare and social change leaders to explore sport’s potential as a platform and a catalyst to promote mental wellness.

In this time of global instability and social distancing, protecting our mental health is even more important. This forum is a chance for attendees to learn how mental wellness is being addressed within sport as well as the current ways sport is being used as a platform and tool to address mental health issues arising out of COVID-19.

You’ll hear from an unbelievable list of athletes and mental health advocates from NFL Hall of Famer Brian Dawkins and Former Professional Footballer Clark Carlisle to Olympic Gold Medallists Samantha Livingstone and Helen Richardson-Walsh.

Attendees will also learn about efforts to support athletes in times of adversity from USA Gymnastics President & CEO, Li Li Leung and the IOC Athletes Commission, as well as innovative ways to use sport to address mental wellness from FC Barcelona Foundation and EVERFI.

MORE ON WORKSHOP WEEK

Across four days and four interactive tracks, you will engage with the likes of Olympic Gold Medallists Michael Johnson and Helen Richardson-Walsh; C-Suite business executives from Procter & GambleSAP and IBM; sport industry leaders from One Championship, the 49ers Foundation and WWE; individual and organizational performance experts Johnson & Johnson Human Performance Institute and Edgework Consulting; and sport for social change innovators, policy makers and activists such as the UNDPBrian Dawkins Impact Foundation, UN Patron of the Oceans Lewis Pugh and the Walton Family Foundation.

“Workshop Week is not another Zoom Webinar. We looked at what our sector needed and developed a dynamic and fully interactive experience aimed at education, ideation and finding solutions,” said Beyond Sport Managing Director,” Lex Chalat.

“We know you’re facing challenges at a personal, organizational, sectoral and societal level. Workshop Week has been designed to address those issues by working with you through problems and sharing best practice and projections on how the new normal will affect us all.”
