More about Coaching for a Safer Community
The project teaches Fire & Road Safety Awareness through unique coaching sessions devised by Dave Amiet a Firefighter from East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service. The sessions are adapted to suit the age groups of the participants requiring our service.
The project is open to all and includes social inclusion, disability, children and young people with varying levels of education. It is open to everyone, as a result giving people better chances in life, no matter of ability, race, gender or strands of life, it gives the community in which we serve better access to fire and road safety training and development whilst also helps improve their life skills.
The project takes place throughout East Sussex and Brighton and Hove and is currently delivered in Schools, Colleges, Clubs, Holiday Courses, additional funding will help us reach further into the community and build stronger communities by targeting children and young people who are vulnerable aiming the project initially at special needs schools and schools with corrective facilities, this includes, as with the general nature and coverage of East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service and it's location in East Sussex improved rural and urban environment. Qualified Fire & Rescue Service coaches deliver the sessions to selected schools and locations as deemed necessary by the lead coaches and Borough Commanders.
