Exploring Sport's Role in Promoting Mental Wellness

While we are in this unprecedented time of global instability and social distancing, protecting our mental health is even more important. What are the most effective ways to cope, how can we also help the people closest to us and how can we strengthen the well-being of our communities overall?

The Stay in the Game Network was formed last year to use sport as a platform, catalyst and channel for industries to work together to change the national narrative on mental health to one of hope, prevention and healing. It is a collective of like-minded organizations in the US joined across sectors including sport, healthcare, social change and more, that are committed to collaborating on progressive solutions for an issue affecting 40 million Americans.

INTRODUCTORY WEBINAR

Join us Monday, March 30 at 1pm EDT to learn more about Network plans for the year ahead and the benefits that come with membership. You’ll have the chance to hear from industry experts, to connect with other organizations working to break stigmas surrounding mental health and to ask questions.

The network is supported by Founding Members: Beyond Sport, National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention (Action Alliance), Centerstone, Citrone 33 Foundation and USA Cycling, and Founding Supporters, MLB, MLS, NBA, NFL, NHL and WNBA. We hope you will join us to contribute your expertise and ideas towards making conversations and actions on mental health in the US open and productive. Some description

Using Sport to Ignite Passion in STEM Education

Founded in 2017, The Sport and STEM Alliance is a coalition of like-minded, leading global organizations who share a common goal of further understanding how sport can be used in STEM education, and then taking action to make this happen.

This year, we’ll activate in a new way by tackling priority STEM topics together. Supported by $10,000 funding, the membership will create
solutions for how to use sport to better support some of STEM Education’s most important advocates: The Educators.

Join the Alliance to collaborate and innovate for the Educating the Educators focus topic while also furthering conversations on Gender Equality – Girls in STEM and Hard to Reach Populations.

Members of the Sport and STEM Alliance will play a formative role in shaping the direction of sport’s role in STEM education, with benefits including:

  • Exclusive access to research and knowledge sharing platforms focusing on sport and STEM education
  • International members-only digital community
  • Informative quarterly webinars
  • Quarterly e-bulletins with the topical news and conversations in the space
  • Discounted rates to select Beyond Sport events

As Founding Members and Strategic Partners, Beyond Sport and the San Francisco 49ers Foundation have taken a leading role in the vision and mission of the Alliance, and our collaborating with a powerful group of organizations including:
