Transforming Young Lives Through Sport

We all know the fitness benefits of participating in sport, but those benefits extend far beyond the physical, especially for youth. Whether it’s improved health and mental wellbeing, a space to connect, move and have fun, an opportunity to develop leadership and teamwork skills, a chance to challenge personal limits and improve focus or as a pathway to education and employment, the advantages can be life changing.

But for many young people, these transformative benefits are out of reach.

That’s why Beyond Sport and Under Armour are teaming up to support non-profit community organisations across the UK and Europe that are using sport to inspire and teach valuable life skills to young people – particularly those that are consistently underserved, excluded or economically disadvantaged.

The new point of purchase campaign launched on 26 June 2023 in Under Armour's retail stores in the UK and will ultimately expand across Europe. Customers will have the opportunity to donate at the register to support #SportForSocialChange, and as part of its commitment to create more access and opportunity within sports, Under Armour is providing seed funding in each local retail market to support community partnership.

Beyond Sport will grant the funds to local programmes that are using sport and physical activity to do something greater for youth, positively impacting their health, personal growth and future success.

Since 2008, Beyond Sport has partnered with organisations that are purposefully using physical activity to positively impact communities around the world. With a shared belief that sport is so much more than a game, we are proud to join Under Armour in its efforts to create opportunities for millions of youth to engage in sports and break down barriers for those who strive for more.
