Location: New York - with international travel required in order to fulfil work related duties

Summary of the role

Beyond Sport’s Partnerships Manager will be responsible for supporting senior management on the management of all Beyond Sport partners, sourcing business development opportunities, partnership activations and ideations and delegate sales strategies for Beyond Sport events and network concepts.

In addition, they will be responsible for helping develop sales strategies for all events relating to sponsorship and ticket sales.

From a wider business development perspective, they are responsible for leading on the development of new event concepts and joint ventures, alongside the Director of Programming and Development and the Managing Director.

Key responsibilities
 

Partnership Management

  • Supporting senior management in managing all Beyond Sport partners, including support in acquiring, on-boarding, activations and renewals
  • Supporting senior management in developing strategy to and executing management of all existing commercial partners from start to end of agreement period, continuously monitoring, measuring, and improve the effectiveness of partner interactions.
  • Supporting senior management in developing strategy to, and execute management of all newly acquired clients from start to end of agreement period, continuously monitoring, measuring, and improve the effectiveness of client interaction
  • Creating a process for management of all databases and support other relevant departments in on-going execution

Business Development

  • Help achieve outlined sponsorship targets for individual event properties throughout the Beyond Sport calendar year
  • Help develop sponsorship strategies for all Beyond Sport events.
  • Help develop delegate sales strategies for all Beyond Sport events alongside Beyond Sport’s senior management team
  • Work with Beyond Sport’s designer to build sponsorship proposals both generic and tailored for each of Beyond Sport’s events and partners in good time to go to market
  • Work with Beyond Sport’s designer to build partner reports both generic and tailored for each of Beyond Sport’s partners and events
  • Work with the Head of Communications & Campaigns to stream partner coverage and social media requirements into Beyond Sport’s overarching social media strategy

Concept Development

  • Support on the development of new event concepts and joint ventures for Beyond Sport to pitch to senior management
  • Build strong working relationships with other Benchmark companies to identify opportunities for mutually beneficial initiatives and activities
Required skills/experience
  • At least 3 years of experience working in either the sport or similar industry and/or in social impact/purpose
  • An existing North American network of contacts across sport and business sectors
  • Excellent networker
  • Excellent pitching skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong ability to think strategically and develop implementation plans to deliver key objectives
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently, quickly and to deadline – there is an immediacy to our office that runs through everything we do
  • Action orientated and goal focused
  • Ability to work independently and without micro-management as well as collaboratively
