Global Reach, Local Impact

September 15, 2023

"Everyone in the Beyond Sport Community is in it for the right reasons. We really do want to see sport transform individuals and communities and create positive change."

Beyond Sport is excited to share our 2022 Impact Report – an inspiring overview of our collective efforts and accomplishments. 2022 was a year of record-breaking growth as we continued to deepen our impact across grant-making with a focus on collaboration, community leadership and capacity-building support to help strengthen us all as a sector. We were very proud to be able to continue our committment to empowering initiatives that use sport with intent to address pressing global challenges.

In 2022 Beyond Sport awarded $1.8 million in grants to 52 organizations across 12 countries. Our portfolio of projects spanned 11 different sports and addressed critical issues in 10 distinct areas, showcasing the versatility of sport as a catalyst for positive change.

We were able to distribute a total of 55 grants to sports-based initiatives run by organizations that each contributed their unique expertise and passion for the cause including: training on inclusive and culturally competent coaching, building accessible spaces for Black and Brown youth in the US to play and grow, supporting leadership resources to help refugees adjust to their new communities and breaking down barriers to sport and physical activity, among other areas.

Our 2022 report is a testament to the dedication and unwavering support of all of Beyond Sport's friends, partners and colleagues.  Thank you for being an integral part of our network and for your dedication to driving positive change through sport worldwide.
