  • Overview of Project:
Hapoel Tel Aviv harnesses its popularity, winning tradition and commitment to social responsibility through an effective, efficient, and far-reaching sport for development and peace project known as Mifalot Chinuch. Mifalot, through collaboration with local partners and governmental entities, implements a unique collection of programs to address a variety of social issues and educational and social challenges facing children and communities in need throughout the region, including: •Cross border activities between at-conflict populations in Israel, Palestine and Jordan including Jews and Arabs and Israelis and Palestinians brought together to train, play and compete together as teammates and friends fostering a culture of mutual respect, peace, dialogue and coexistence. •Programs for Bedouin children in unrecognized remote villages •Programs for children with special needs, including deaf children, disabled children and retarded children. •Programs for children living in at-risk or isolated environments, such as the Bedouins in the Negev or children in state-run boarding homes. •Newly arrived immigrants and refugees learn literacy and language skills and better integrate into their new environment. The recipients of our programs are mostly children from families below the poverty line, disadvantaged children, for the most part neglected and ignored by society. Mifalot also brings their families and peers into the fold through community programs designed to encourage inclusion and community involvement. In every Mifalot program, children wear the Hapoel colours, attend Hapoel matches, and are treated as members of the Hapoel Tel Aviv family.
