Overview of Project:
globalbike’s professional cycling team and club cycling team connect people around the world. The realm of competitive cycling is a perfect location to connect good people to great projects. Prior to using cycling teams globalbike’s marketing was limited to word of mouth. This resulted in semi-successful efforts to provide bikes in Zambia and Ethiopia. Now just months after the teams have been announced globalbike has expanded to Tanzania and Ethiopia. globalbike is currently developing a webinterface to connect cyclists around the globe. globalbikes are sustainable and reliable transportation that enable care workers to address some of the world’s most challenging problems, like health care, poverty, poor sanitation, and education. globalbike creates personal connections to global challenges and more importantly solutions that work by providing donors with a picture and story of each bike and the rider.
