Philadelphia Union uses soccer as a conduit for change by reinforcing the traditional family values of honesty, integrity, effort and accountability. We provide safe fields for children to play soccer in a secure environment, which ultimately allows them to compete for their neighborhood club, school teams, and beyond. We want to help develop the young children of today as people with healthy minds and bodies and potential soccer players and fans as well.
We use soccer as a catalyst for social responsibility, by promoting healthy choices through nutritional education, anti- obesity initiatives, and physical exercise. We are a foundation for change and positive impact. The Philadelphia Union noticed a dire need for change in the City of Chester and works toward providing local youth with activities and opportunities.
