Our project uses sport to help educated, family and students on health lifestyle. Our school faces an extreme poverty rate of 93% of our students. All of our students come to school unprepared to have success, because the of the poverty level they live in. In today’s school system, the education level is slowly decreasing, and the extra-curricular activities such as sports, are being cut to save money on educational studies.
While the amount of children that are becoming obese/ malnutrition has reached an alarming high. Our school goal is to overcome these downfalls by creating sport-centric school that focuses on education, healthy minds and bodies for our students through sports. Many of the qualities needed for success academically are supported by a set of skills and behaviors gained in sports training and competition.
