More about Coalfields Regeneration Trust Game On Wales
Coalfields Regeneration Trust is dedicated to the social and economic regeneration of deprived former coalfield communities in the UK. It achieves it’s objectives through a ‘family’ of programmes which address a wide range of social and economic issues e.g. unemployment, access to employment, child poverty, financial exclusion, poor health, low education and skills and generally improving opportunities for local people.
Across the range of themes there are hundreds of projects taking place and thousands of beneficiaries every year. CRT has funded projects to the value of over £200 million in grants. However, CRT works by bringing partners together at a local level, sometimes supported by other funders and agencies to build sustainable activities and legacies.
The Game On Wales project is one such partnership programme with Cambrian Village Trust (CmbVT) and from a consortium of Communities First Partnerships, Timebanking Wales, Street Football Wales and professional football clubs, associations, YOT and youth services.
