Powered by streetfootballworld, the third edition of Beyond Soccer took place as part of the Beyond Sport Summit at PPL Park, home of MLS team Philadelphia Union. Beyond Soccer was the first international event to be held in the USA focusing purely on the power of the world’s most popular sport to tackle social issues. Backed by Major League Soccer, the Premier League, adidas and Barclays, the event in Philadelphia was the biggest yet. A programme made up of best-practice break-out panels, practical workshops on social enterprise and monitoring & evaluation, and high-profile keynotes and interviews that included the ‘Big Interview’ with Tony Sanneh – Former Los Angeles Galaxy Player and Founder of the Tony Sanneh Foundation – the day brought together some of the world’s leading organizations on soccer and social change.
