Top prize for Our Parks at BT Sport Industry Awards

Our Parks took home the Community Programme of the Year Award in association with The Supporters Club for its Turn Up Tone Up London initiative last night at the 16th BT Sport Industry Awards.

Well-established as the industry’s most prestigious awards night, and attracting a sell-out crowd of 1,700 guests, the BT Sport Industry Awards celebrate the very best examples of the diverse work taking place across the sports world.

The Award was presented on stage in front of industry colleagues from agencies, brands, governing bodies and rights holders.

Other celebrity guests at the glittering black tie, red carpet event included Tom Daley, Nico Rosberg, Laura Kenny CBE and Dame Jess Ennis Hill CBE. The event was also attended by a who’s who of industry leaders and their guests, drawn from the full range of the sector – from governing bodies, through blue-chip sponsors, to Premier League clubs.

The awards are judged by some of the UK’s and world’s pre-eminent sports leaders, including the CEO of World Rugby, Brett Gosper; select committee chair, Damian Collins MP; and Sport England CEO Jennie Price; all chaired by CEO of Sported Foundation, Chris Grant, and fully overseen by EY.

“This fantastic group of winners set the standard for the industry over this and coming years,” said Chairman of Sport Industry Group, Nick Keller. “The awards are fiercely competitive and we take the judging process very seriously. Even to be nominated is an achievement in this kind of field, but to win is to really know that you have done a job that is genuinely excellent.

“The UK’s sports industry is one of the most innovative and developed on the planet so when you win a BT Sport Industry Award, you are also putting your work up there with the best in the world.”

The BT Sport Industry Awards 2017 took place last night at Battersea Evolution in London.

BT is headline partner of the Awards, with Coutts, ESPN and EY official partners.
