March 27, 2020
Nothing motivates, brings people together or inspires hope quite like sport. This year, we will continue to share knowledge and resources, have conversations and collaborate on the solutions that will continue to move us towards a better world for all.
We are creating a digital experience for our network this year, so please see below for details. Our goal is to continue to transform the way we approach social issues and we are looking forward to teaming up with you.
CONTINUING COMMUNITY, COLLABORATION & SUPPORT
Held monthly, our goal is to provide a space for our global network to share the challenges and the issues they are facing, as well as ideas that can stimulate new thinking and solutions as we navigate this time together. Each chat will be themed around a specific issue, feature two to three speakers and be followed by a Q&A session.
Chat 1: April 9, 9AM EDT focused on funder, brand and sport for development perspectives. Read the recap and listen to the recording.
Chat 2: May 14, 12PM EDT focused on challenges and opportunities for teams, leagues and their partners.
Stay tuned for info on the remaining chats.
300+ organizations, $2.1 million+ in funding and $8.5 million+ in long-term strategic support. Over the past decade, the Beyond Sport Global Awards have supported, celebrated and provided funding and business support for some of the most innovative projects using sport to make the UN Sustainable Development Goals a reality.
TACKLING BIG ISSUES WITH OUR DIGITAL COMMUNITIES
While we are in this unprecedented time of global instability and social distancing, protecting our mental health is even more important. The Stay in the Game Network was formed in 2019 to use sport as a platform, catalyst and channel for industries to work together to address an issue which will affect one in four people around the world at some point in their lives. SPORT & STEM ALLIANCE
Current events have made it clear that igniting student's passion in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) is a global priority. This year we are focusing on Educating the Educators and with the cancellation of school and learning going more and more online, this initiative has become even more important. Join the Alliance to collaborate on strategies while also addressing issues surrounding Gender Equality – Girls in STEM and Hard to Reach Populations. The next gathering of the Alliance takes place May 5.
Taking place June 15 - 18, Beyond Sport Workshop Week will provide interactive tailored content and resources that will leave you feeling more knowledgeable, connected and prepared to tackle the serious issues currently disrupting businesses, organizations and initiatives. Content will include inspirational stories and educational sessions around the sport industry, the development sector, and what this new world of tech and virtual convening means for social change. Details to come!
TAILORED ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT
We know that right now, organizations are facing huge challenges and uncertainties and pressure to immediately cultivate a new way of working and collaborating – internally and with other organizations. Through our sister agency, thinkBeyond, we will use our experience in design and facilitation to help you overcome some of those challenges, find your certainty and craft a new way to collaborate all using digital convening tools. We can design a tailored facilitated event just for your organization and to meet your needs.
