CAC Release COVID-19 Digital Curriculum

April 3, 2020

Coaches Across Continents (CAC) have released a new curriculum packet in response to the global COVID-19 pandemic. As the global leader in Purposeful Play, CAC has offered a solution to the current situation and educational crisis with a program to educate communities, coaches and children on best practices associated with the coronavirus and other communicable diseases.

CAC has distributed its COVID-19 resource free to all its 75 impact partners in 45 countries. As a result, it is also addressing Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being and Goal 4: Quality Education.

Some description

The curriculum has three key parts:

1. Education about the virus including frequently asked questions

2. Best practices to avoid contracting the virus (handwashing, distancing and more)

3. Best practices to avoid spreading the virus if you become infected (testing, isolation)

In addition, CAC has advised communities where it is still safe to host programming, to prepare their children and coaches with this resource in order to mitigate the spread of the virus. The difference between this curriculum to CAC’s Purposeful Play curriculum is that all the activities are designed to be played with as little physical contact as possible.

Coaches Across Continents are two-time winners of the Beyond Sport Global Awards, most recently winning Global Impact of the Year in 2018. Learn more about the Beyond Sport Global Awards. Entries open next week!
